| The Manager of Local Food Initiatives and Social Enterprise is responsible for the management and growth of our sold meals program, local foods initiatives and other related projects with a focus on excellent customer service. Works closely with the kitchen and delivery departments to ensure compliance with contractual agreements. Works closely with the development and marketing department to develop an effective, cost efficient marketing campaign for our sold meals, farmers market, etc. Works closely with the Program staff in addressing barriers to healthful eating for underserved populations. Responsible for investigating and identifying potential customers, community partners and possible new social enterprise initiatives. | Under the guidance of the Registered Dietitian, the Community Nutritionist participates in all service components of the nutrition program. Provides nutrition counseling and nutrition education for clients and community members. Works with Registered Dietitian to develop nutrition education materials. Works closely with kitchen staff to develop and execute nutritionally and culturally appropriate menus. Assists in the development and implementation of quality assurance monitoring tools and special projects. | Community Servings is a food and nutrition agency providing a variety of services for individuals residing in over 16 towns and cities in Massachusetts. Our programs include a free home-delivered meals program for the critically ill, nutrition education workshops, local foods initiatives focused on accessibility and a food service job training program. Our goal is to empower individuals, particularly those in underserved communities, with the skills and knowledge to manage one's well-being through nutrition. The Outreach Coordinator plays a key role in developing and implementing a major outreach campaign. The successful applicant will a join a thriving, creative and energetic team working towards addressing barriers to healthful eating. This individual will work with the Program staff in identifying, reaching out to and develop collaborative relationships with community partners and referral sources. The Outreach Coordinator will help identify underserved and hard to reach populations and strategize on how best to connect them to our services. Part-Time: 24 hours/week |

Service Learning and Internships Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. In addition to working in the kitchen, doing deliveries and helping out on special events, we have several opportunities for colleges students to fulfill service learning course requirements or intern with us. Past and current projects have included helping to develop, distribute and tabulate the results of client surveys and doing outreach to hospitals and clinics regarding our expanded mission. |
