Since 2004, Meals for Moms has offered Community Servings' supporters the opportunity to honor the special women in their lives while making an impact on the health and well-being of less fortunate mothers and their families. Supporters buy a Mother's Day card for $25 or chocolates and a card for $50. Each card is handwritten with a personalized message and sent in time for Mother's Day. Gifts of $25 represent a week's worth of hearty and comforting meals for a mother battling a life-threatening illness and $50 gifts provide two weeks of meals.
Over half of the family households we serve are run by single women, mothers and grandmothers struggling with illness while caring for their children and grandchildren. Thanks to Meals for Mom donors, these women no longer face hunger and sickness alone -- on Mother's Day and every day of the year.
